In partnership with TELUS, the Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada and the National Aviation Regulators

Current Trial Activities

Previous Trial Activities

Documents the activities completed by AirMarket and TELUS to validate the Private 4G/LTE Services with the “Connected Drone” use cases.

These activities were connected in June – July 2020 in simulated Beyond Visual Line fo Sight (BVLOS) flight operations.

Lab Testing & Field Validation

TELUS Lab Testing was verified with Field Trials to confirm if existing services can be modified to serve UTM requirements.

Private 4G/LTE Field Trails

The use of Private 4G/LTE services are deployed and evaluated for “Connected Drone”.  Field Trials are conducted in partnership with TELUS.

Establish Base Services on Public Network

TELUS Mobility services are modified, and optimized hosting environments are provided in the TELUS infrastructure landscape for AirMarket UTM service offerings. 

Extensive testing of these production ready services are conducted with BVLOS flight operations established in northern Alberta with End Customers.

Increase Digital Conspicuity for Integrated Airspace

AirMarket extends the reach of UTM services and airspace surveillance to bridge the manned and unmanned flight operations toward an integrated airspace.  We plan to increase our footprint of surveillance activities and data integration to provide increase situational awareness.

Autonomous Deconfliction & Advanced Capabilities

Start to leverage 5G / Mobile Edge Compute / Artificial Intelligence to establish early stage Autonomous capabilities for airspace deconfliction and business solutions.  AirMarket will continue to grow integrated data exchange with drones to automate mandated aviation workflows.
