Our Plans

01
CREATE ECOSYSTEM OF COLLABORATORS

The iART alliance provides the framework to assemble the necessary skills to enable the market

02
DEPLOY INFRASTRUCTURE AND OPERATE RTM AIRSPACES

Establish a network of
Command & Control (C2) and airspace surveillance infrastructure to support RTM services

03
BUILD CAPACITY THROUGH DEMONSTRATION

Conduct BVLOS flight operations in our 7 RTM airspaces to facilitate knowledge transfer to the ecosystem

04
GAIN REGULATORY APPROVAL FOR THE SYSTEM

Get RTM services approved and deliver the eight different reference architectures

THE GOAL:

Establish routine SAIL IV BVLOS flight operations
by implementing
RPAS Traffic Management (RTM) airspace overlays
using 7 Reference Architectures
for achieving regulatory approval in Alberta... and beyond.

SUB WORKING GROUPS

Used to exchange knowledge and build capacity.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES SWG

The Performance Objective SWG (PS-SWG) will be focused on the regulatory enablement of SAIL IV BVLOS flight operations.

ACADEMIC ALLIANCE

We are joining forces with Canada’s leading academic institutions in the drone research environment. These trusted technical disciplines will provide the quantitative analysis to qualify our reference architectures.

The Alliance includes:

RTM SERVICES SWG

The RTM SWG (RTM-SWG) will be focused on the enablement of RTM services & infrastructure to support the iART flight ops objectives/demonstrations.

FOCAL GROUP

The focal for this group will be led by:

FLIGHT OPS SWG

The Flight Ops SWG (FO-SWG) will focus on the execution of demonstration flights and establishing commercial BVLOS operations by leveraging the resources of the iART initiative.
