AIRmarket Participates in the RTMAC #4 in the Nation’s Capital
AIRmarket is a founding participant of the RPAS Traffic Management Action Committee (RTMAC) and was excited to participate in RTMAC #4 on February 21, 2023 in NAV CANADA’s offices in Ottawa. The RTMAC is a group of regulators and industry stakeholders who are advancing the agenda and deployment of RPAS Traffic Management (RTM) in Canada.
At this event, AIRmarket presented an update on our energy UTM trials, which included an update on the Remote Identification (RID) testing and integration results with NAV CANADA. We also showcased our proposal for scaling BVLOS with digital conspicuity in the Alberta oilsands to fellow committee members. Transport Canada also tabled the discussion for the industry’s willingness to support U-Space airspace as a framework to accelerate commercial BVLOS activities. These ongoing discussions helped to align stakeholders and accelerate our industry towards commercial viability.
